The excursion will start from Catania and continue in the direction of Rifugio Sapienza. Before arriving at Rifugio Sapienza we will stop at various panoramic points to admire various eruptive structures between lava flows and extinct craters.

During the journey we will tell you the history of the Etna volcano, its most important eruptions and the legends that surround it.

Once arrived at Rifugio Sapienza, we will start the trekking towards the Silvestri craters, where we can admire the upper Silvestri craters, formed by the eruption of 1892.

The trekking will last about 1 hour and will be suitable for everyone, even children.

After the trekking, we will go to a lava flow cave, where we can admire the lava formations and stalactites.

After visiting the cave, we will go to a panoramic point to admire the Valle del Bove, one of the most impressive volcanic depressions in Europe.

The return to Catania is scheduled between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM.
