The sunset excursion on the Etna Volcano is one of the most fascinating and suggestive excursions to admire the sunset from an altitude of 2900 m. s.l.m.
The excursion to SUNSET ON THE SUMMIT CRATERS (within the allowed quotas) starts from Piano Provenzana - Etna Nord (Linguaglossa ) , north side of Etna.
During the excursion you will be accompanied exclusively by: ALPINE GUIDES or VOLCANOLOGICAL GUIDES

The meeting point of the excursion is located at the ticket office of & nbsp; Etna cableway at 5.30 pm Piano Provenzana Etna Nord - Linguaglossa
On board special 4x4 vehicles, in about 15 minutes, we will reach about 2000 altitude, in trekking (10 minutes) we will take us to the Craters of the 2002 eruption. Eruption that has profoundly changed the morphologically North side of Etna. Duration of the visit 25/30 minutes.
Restart for the Summit heights. Short visit to the Craters of 1809. Arrival at the Volcanological Observatory of Pizzi Deneri, Trekking (10 minutes) to the top of Pizzi Deneri approx. 2820.
The view will be "breathtaking" !! We could range to 360 ° with our eyes, & nbsp; (yes, the day
will allow it) we could clearly see the Aeolian islands , the coast of Taormina , the coast of Catania , the coast of the Calabria , and the Stromboli. ,
Last but not least we will observe the South-East Crater formed starting from the year 1971 which is one of the most active craters of Etna and the majestic Valley
del Bove and Valle del Leone.
At the end of the sunset, the descent will begin to return to Piano Provenzana.
